That's different. That's honing their hunting skills. Plus, it's inter-species. Cats fight with each other for territory, but they don't sit there and shove bamboo under their claws just to watch each other suffer.

Just like deer may fight for mates, but they don't shove each other's heads in a running river and say, "Look you're drowning! Ha ha! Where'd you hide all them fine does?"
