Overheard at Table 5: In a Meeting

In a staff meeting today, the boss totally insulted my co-worker, telling her that she was going to be closing everybody's projects.  I mean, she's really good at closing projects, but she's always talked about wanting to be a PM, and my co-worker just went off, saying this was not was she was hired for and she wished our boss would have told her this before talking about it in the meeting.

Man, you could feel all the air being sucked out of that room.  I was afraid they were gonna go all Godzilla vs King Kong!  I was thinking how I could suck myself down to size and slide out under the door.
