Overheard at Table 3: Bad Lyrics on a Yellow Post-It Note

Bad Lyrics on a Yellow Post-It Note

Well, it was a hard year
It was a long year
and it seemed it would
            never end -
We all lost family
And we all lost our minds
And we couldn't tell
            enemy from friend.

Overheard at Booth 1: Morning and Lunch Time

In the morning, she saw me put the clean silverware on the counter before I had put them in the drawer.

She said, "The cats walk on there!  They have dirty paws!  You have a hygiene problem, you are never clean!"

She walks out to go to work, and I went on putting up the dishes from the dishwasher.  She came back in for something just as I was banging the pots into their shelves under the cabinet.

"Stop banging the dishes!" she shouts.

Later that day, around lunch time, I call her.   "I cleaned the counters because the cats are dirty," I say.

She says, "Look, I'm breaking down here and I have no energy and I don't have time for your passive aggressive attitude."
